Install the EMMA for Apple Mac OS X App.


  1. Downloaded the EMMA install file for Apple Mac OS X from the EMMA downloads page.
  2. Double-click the install file (EmmaInstaller5.0.dmg). The installation program will be shown.
  3. Copy the EMMA app to your desired location (usually your Applications folder). Copying the app is performed simply by using drag and drop. An example of this is shown below:



  1. Double-click on Emma.app to run it.



  1. When executing EMMA, you might get a dialog from the Apple Mac Gatekeeper. An example of this is shown below:


 


  1. To allow EMMA to run, you will need to modify the GateKeeper settings.
  2. Go to System Preferences and click Security and Privacy. In the Security and Privacy window, select   Anywhere under Allow applications to be downloaded from.



  1. Once you have run EMMA for the first time, you can reset your Apple Mac Gatekeeper settings.
  2. After you have finished installing the EMMA app, you should remove the files used for the installation.You should unmount the disk image (EMMAInstaller5.0.dmg). This can be done by using the eject icon next to to it in the Finder sidebar as if it were a CD. You can also drag the mounted disk icon to the the Trash, again as if it were a CD.
  3. To discard the EMMAInstaller5.0.dmg, place it in the Trash or back it up somewhere in case you wish to re-install the EMMA app in the future.
